Well here I am 6 hours at Doha airport and the first opportunity to write anything! We have had intermittent electricity and no Internet access until today. What an incredible experience it has been. Manyire School is a truly happy school. There were so many eager faces there to greet me. I was able to hand over the letters our children had written and it was such a pleasure to see how excited they were to receive them. A brand new football and netball caused a huge cheer from everyone. I bought 50 trees for the children to plant on the school farm – a mixture of fruit trees; mango, avocado, lemon, orange, meringa and gravillia. Our school have certainly got a productive garden and were really pleased to receive more trees. As about eight of the teachers live in school houses they were able to ensure they will not get stolen. Some of the families close by are so poor that they are desperate for anything. I have so much more to tell but we are about to board the plane for the final leg of our very long journey!
